Import Specialist

Full Time Position Job Details

Responsibility Areas: 

    • Work with import broker to resolve questions/provide information as needed
    • Knowledge and understanding of various importing requirements and various government agencies
    • Provide vendors/agents/broker with applicable HTS and corresponding duty rates
    • Perform monthly audits of US Customs Entries filed on behalf of the company
    • Prepare Post-Entry Adjustments for submission to customs or customs broker
    • Classification of imported product at the time of CBP clearance
    • Support and assist with any department needs in or outside the company, ie US Customs, broker, management, etc.
    • Knowledge and understanding of all import related current events
    • Work with import broker to resolve questions/provide information as needed
    • Knowledge and understanding of various importing requirements and various government agencies

Minimum Qualifications: 

    • 1~2 years of experience as an import and/ or export coordinator preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with broad customs classification experience using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule
      in an international transportation or customs brokerage atmosphere
    • Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Be a proactive self-starter and detail oriented mind with ability to multitask 
    • Strong computer literacy a must (Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Application) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Proven work experience with transportation and compliance systems


Work Hours: 
Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:30PM)
